In April 2012, The Honey Bun Cake Factory’s (HBCF) was founded in the Washington DC Metropolitan area by the husband and wife Team of Anthony and Tisha McFarland. The founders and business owners have taken time to capture a cake recipe that was originated by the families of North Carolina and developed it into several wonderful flavors. There is no other cake company, restaurant or individual business who can offer different flavors of honey bun cake.
The founders of HBCF created all of the original honey bun cake recipes, each flavor being unique and appetizing. HBCF can provide catering services to: restaurants, holiday celebrations, corporate functions, family gatherings, fundraisers and any other occasion. We’re looking forward in serving you with fresh, extra moist cakes that’ll make you say, “Oh my honey buns!!”

I tried the Signature honey bun and a sweet potato cake! Both were RICH...... I love the Buttercream. But you better get the milk ready to wash it down! There were so many other flavors, but I had a mission and I had to refrain from letting my sweet tooth get the best of me!
You can't go wrong with any choice at this amazing place - though the sweet potato cake a personal favorite. The owners are about the nicest people you will ever meet.

I purchased my wedding cake. It was simply amazing; my guests were blown away. I would recommend this place to anyone who is not interested in the same old traditional wedding cake. I selected different flavors and each one was delicious.
I had the Oreo cheesecake, it was good. As well as their traditional honey bun cake is pretty phenomenal. This is a small business that you have to support. They are frequently located by the old toys R US in Waldorf, MD and have a storefront in Bryans Road. So far, I have been really impressed with the quality of their sweets. ❤
My wife and I came here last weekend. I had the caramel rum and snicker doodle slices. She had strawberry cheesecake. It was absolutely delicious. I recommend this spot to everyone. You will not be disappointed.
The best cakes I have ever had...any time I get the chance to grab some I get at least 4...I met the owner a few years ago at the wine fest. Very genuine man always has the best customer service. Got the strawberry lemon cake, 1 sweet potato pie, 1 chocolate henny cake pop, and the turtle cheesecake. ALL DELICIOUS!
Everything I've had, and I've tried about 6 different flavors, is amazing. The staff is always friendly and the sandwich shop within has great dog treats, and their food is great with amazing customer service as well. I HIGHLY recommend this place. Their sweet potato pie deserves a special shout out.
